Her professional achievements have led to her biographical inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in The East, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in Science and Engineering. Sandra is currently serving on the North American Design Council for Metrie as well as the Thermador National Design Council and The Baldwin Design Council. She has served on the panel of judges for the NKBA National Design Competition for three separate years. She has been the recipient of an International Design Award and has also received more than thirty-seven National Design Awards.

I personally have a great passion for perfecting the Art of Interior Design which leads our team to be continually focused on creating superior Award Winning Designs and Projects. We go to great efforts to find unique products and resources to provide each client with a truly one-of-a-kind design! When building our projects, we work only with the best trade professionals who we know will perform at the highest level in order to meet our expectations and our client’s expectations on each and every project. One of our company’s great strengths is in the relationships that we have built over many years with our clients and allied trades.
I first got involved in the industry after studying in Miami, Florida and graduating in 1981 with a degree in Interior Design. I have always wanted to be an Interior Designer. My first twelve years in the industry were working in high-end kitchen and bath showrooms. During that time I studied to get my CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) credentials. I developed a great passion for kitchen and bath design in those early years of my profession. At the same time, I felt somewhat limited and wanted to use my degree and my talent to work with clients on their entire interiors. After working in kitchen and bath showrooms for twelve years, I finally decided to start my own design firm providing a complete Interior Design Service. I was looking forward to expanding my creativity to all areas of the home, as well as designing commercial interiors. I have always had a great passion for design and truly enjoy creating total environments. It brings so much satisfaction to see our client’s dreams come to reality!
At Steiner-Houck & Associates, we are very passionate about our clients! Each customer has a story and they are all unique. They have all come to us at a different point and their stories are fascinating. We truly value the relationships that we have built over the years. We have been working with many of our clients and their families for decades and have built many great friendships in the process. We truly enjoy working with them and we feel privileged that they have chosen Steiner-Houck & Associates to design and build the interior of their dreams. Our clients do not have our skills, and most of them are unable to visualize, so it’s great to be able to help them through the process in the way that we do.
Some of the other things that truly make Steiner-Houck & Associates unique are our capabilities irrespective to our size. We are a smaller firm with a high level of talent in design and engineering. Our team has been designing and executing very complex high-level projects for years. In fact, that is our strength! We strive for perfection and an award winning design on every project, no matter the size. We never stop designing or refining our design until the job is complete. From the beginning to the end, we are always looking for ways to improve or enhance our designs to create the most unique, one-of-a-kind project every time. Over the years, we have received 37 National Design Awards, an International Design Award as well as countless Local Design Awards. When creating Award Winning Interiors for our clients, we are often designing custom furnishings for them as well. Steiner-Houck & Associates is unique in that we have our own “Private Upholstery Collection”. We design and build one-of-a-kind custom upholstered furnishings for most of our projects.
We enjoy designing commercial interiors as much as residential interiors and truly give the same amount of passion and attention to the details on those projects as well. It’s about understanding the specific needs of the facility and then bringing their dreams to life! Our commercial clients have often commented on how much they love coming to work every day and are just thrilled to be able to work in such a beautiful environment. Our commercial projects have consisted of cafes, optical showrooms, churches, executive offices, salons, etc.
